Soccer The third-tier team FC Hansa Rostock has terminated the agreement of their chairman, Robert Marien, ahead of schedule. Marien was previously dismissed at the end of May after the team's demotion to the second division. He had temporarily stepped down due to health concerns in January. His contract was scheduled to end in 2025.
In lieu of a brand new board, Jürgen Wehlend, serving as the interim chairman, together with the rest of the board members, Michael Meier (dealing with youth and club matters) and Günter Fett (handling finance and administration), will oversee the club's activities on a temporary basis.
The club is seeking candidates for the vacant position, as other qualified individuals are being considered for the role. However, the current interim chairman, Jürgen Wehlend, has expressed his intention to focus on the club's immediate needs rather than pursuing the permanent position.
