- Roof of dining hall collapsed - no one was hurt
In the Nienburg district, the roof of an abandoned inn's hall has collapsed. According to a fire department spokesperson, no one was injured in the incident. The main building in Steinbrink, part of the Uchte municipal association, has been temporarily closed. A building expert will now inspect its structural integrity.
No one was present in the collapsed area at the time of the incident. The residents of the main building were reportedly in shock and a crisis intervention team was called. The building is an old pub, the spokesperson said. The hall addition was reportedly scheduled for demolition soon.
Due to the sudden collapse, the emergency services were recalled to the Nienburg district. The residents were advised to stay away from the area until the building expert's assessment.
