Rolling Stones with most successful album of the year in Germany
In fourth place came "Gartenstadt" by rapper Apache 207, the most successful album from Germany. He left Herbert Grönemeyer behind, who took sixth place with "Das ist los". In fifth place was the US singer Taylor Swift with "1989". She managed to place seven albums in the top 100. Roland Kaiser was most successful in the Schlager category with "Perspektiven" in 13th place.
The most successful single by far was "Komet" by Apache 207 and Udo Lindenberg. The song was streamed more than 275 million times in Germany alone and broke a record: with 21 weeks at number one, it was the most frequently placed song at the top.
Second place went to Miley Cyrus with "Flowers". The duo Ayliva feat. Mero came in third place with "Sie weiß". Ayliva landed six songs in the year-end ranking - more than anyone else.
The share of female artists doubled compared to the previous year. While there were 13 singles by women in the annual top 100 in 2022, there were 26 this year. 51 of the 100 songs were by German or German-language artists. German-language hip-hop alone accounted for a good third of them.
