Pop star Roland Kaiser is performing a concert on the Old Garden in Schwerin on German Unity Day. The evening of October 3rd will be accompanied by an elaborate light show at Schwerin Castle, telling the story of the Peaceful Revolution and the unity of Germany, as announced by the state chancellery.

This year, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is hosting the central celebrations for German Unity Day, as the federal state currently holds the presidency of the Bundesrat. A large public festival is planned in Schwerin, including the Roland Kaiser concert. Admission is said to be free.

For the 72-year-old singer, German Unity Day is a special date. "We are united and have many good reasons to celebrate together," said Kaiser. He is very much looking forward to performing with his band in Schwerin on October 3rd. "We're bringing all the hits."

Manuela Schwesig (SPD), Minister President of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, stated: "For 50 years, Roland Kaiser has connected and united generations throughout Germany. I am certain that his concert amidst the World Heritage backdrop of Schwerin will be unforgettable."

The concert by Pop star Roland Kaiser is expected to be a highlight of the music events during the public festival for German Unity Day in Schwerin. The celebration of unity through music will resonate with the audience, as Kaiser plans to perform all his hit songs during the concert.
