Roland Kaiser's (72) wax double was recently spotted in Dresden, but today, the pop star will present his likeness at Madame Tussauds in Berlin, marking his 50th anniversary on stage this year. His wax figure will stand in a scaled-down replica of his "Kaisermania" set, complete with the famous Dresden cityscape backdrop and videos of his legendary shows.
Kaiser has been transforming Dresden's Elbe riverbank into a summer party zone with his "Kaisermania" concert series for years. The Berlin native has a special connection to "Elbflorenz," having first visited in 1990 and even composing a love song for the city.
To wrap up his tour, Kaiser will perform double concerts in Berlin at the Waldbühne this Friday and Saturday, celebrating the 50th anniversary of his stage career with "RK50 – 50 Jahre – 50 Hits – Die große Tournee zum 50. Bühnenjubiläum." His wax figure will remain on permanent display at Madame Tussauds.
