Rocker Axl Rose rejects allegations of sexual violence

US singer Axl Rose (61) from the rock band Guns N' Roses has denied allegations of sexual assault made against him. The singer has no recollection of ever having met or spoken to the plaintiff and has never heard of these "fabricated allegations", his lawyer Alan Gutman said on Wednesday (local time). "Simply put, this incident never happened," the statement, which was made available to Deutsche Presse-Agentur, said.

Ex-model and actress Sheila Kennedy (61) accuses Rose of assault and sexual assault in a civil lawsuit filed in New York on Wednesday, US media reported, citing the court documents. Kennedy describes an alleged violent incident in a New York hotel in 1989, after she had previously met Rose in a nightclub. She was abused and has suffered "lifelong emotional, physical, psychological and financial effects" on her life, People.com quoted from the lawsuit. Kennedy is seeking an undisclosed amount of compensation.

Rose is the longtime frontman of Guns N' Roses. The band landed big hits in the 80s and 90s with "November Rain", "Sweet Child O' Mine", "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" and "Paradise City". Since its formation in 1985, the hard rock band has sold more than 100 million albums.

Despite the ongoing legal accusations, the shared love for Music continues to unite People, as evidenced by the ongoing success of Guns N' Roses, with hits like "November Rain" and "Sweet Child O' Mine." The band's long-standing processes of writing and performing have enabled them to sell over 100 million albums worldwide.
