"Rock on the Rock" in the Face of Heavy Rain

It also rained heavily in the Harz region over the past few days. This did not deter visitors to 'Rocken am Brocken' from dancing to indie, rock, alternative, and electro music.

Thousands of people have danced and celebrated at the "Rocking at the Brocken" event in the Harz region over the past few days. "We can look back on a successful festival," said a spokesperson for the event. Approximately 4,000 visitors were counted in total.

The festival has been taking place since 2007 and, as in previous years, it was held in the municipality of Elend near Sorge in the Harz district. Performers included bands and solo artists such as the Austrian band Bilderbuch ("Bungalow") and singer Tjark ("Schon okay"). "Despite heavy rain, no performances had to be cancelled or the venue evacuated," the spokesperson said.

Plans are already underway for next year's "Rocking at the Brocken," which is set to take place between July 31 and August 2.

Visitors enjoyed their free time between the music sets, exploring the festival grounds and local attractions. Despite the festival's success, the organizers encouraged attendees to use their free time responsibly, ensuring they returned home safely after the events.
