On a fortunate coincidence, assistance was promptly accessible that day. At a food outlet, a fryer had burst into flames, and a flurry of emergency teams were dispatched. The fire was swiftly extinguished. Nearby stood Hofmann, who collapsed. This enabled paramedics and physicians to be instantly on the scene. "Probably we wouldn't have been able to assist him so promptly otherwise," notes Astrid, a Red Cross nurse from Bavaria, who chooses to remain anonymous.

Clearly, this event is always at the forefront of Hofmann's thoughts. However, as an enthusiastic festival enthusiast, he attended Rock im Park once more this year - also to meet his rescuers. "This is truly a positive outcome," he remarks.
