Theft - Robbery in Volkspark Friedrichshain: Two young men injured
Two people have been injured in a serious robbery in Volkspark Friedrichshain. A group of around nine people surrounded a group of three people at around midnight, police said on Sunday. Five of the alleged group of perpetrators attacked an 18-year-old, kicking and punching him and then stealing his wallet and cell phone. One of the suspects allegedly hit a 17-year-old in the face with a knuckleduster. The third member of the group, a 19-year-old, was searched by his opponents but remained unharmed, according to the police.
The 18-year-old was reportedly taken to hospital after the attack, while the 17-year-old was treated as an outpatient by paramedics. The alleged perpetrators fled the park. The criminal investigation department is now investigating.

- Despite the intervention of the Police, the perpetrators, believed to be a group of men, managed to escape following the robbery.
