Wundsiedel district - Riding stable in flames: Employees injured

An employee was slightly injured in a fire at a riding stable in Upper Franconia. All the horses were saved, a police spokesman said on Tuesday. According to initial estimates, the damage is in the six-figure range. The fire broke out on Monday in the barn of the riding facility near Kirchenlamitz (Wundsiedel district). The flames also spread to an adjoining house. Numerous firefighters were deployed to extinguish the fire and free the animals from the barn. The injured employee was taken to hospital. The cause of the fire was initially unclear.
