Tourism - "Rhine in Flames" with fireworks near Bingen and Rüdesheim

24 Ships form into a convoy when six fireworks are successively ignited at the spectacle "Rhein in Flammen" event on the Rhine between Rüdesheim and Bingen every Saturday evening (10:30 PM). Tourist organizers on both sides of the river in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley expect several thousand visitors and guests on the banks and in the vineyards. The grand closing firework display is expected to briefly illuminate the river landscape.

This spectacle on and along the Rhine was first organized in 1977. Different from earlier years, the organizers do not see any risk of low water levels and forest fires in this rainy summer. Rüdesheim is located on the Hessian side and Bingen is across the Rhine on the Rhineland-Palatinate side.

Rhein in Flammen Dates Bingen Rüdesheim

  1. Visitors during their leisure time in Germany often enjoy the annual "Rhein in Flammen" festival, which takes place between Rüdesheim and Bingen in the Rhine River.
