- Rhine: Forceful Assaults on Traffic Signals
Amidst heavy rain and loud thunder, the political brunch at the Gillamoos folk festival in Lower Bavarian Abensberg commenced. Hesse's Minister-President Boris Rhein (CDU) initiated the gathering with harsh critiques directed at the parties comprising Berlin's coalition of traffic lights.
"The dreadful, the disastrous actions of the traffic lights in Berlin are turning into a significant political issue," asserted Rhein, who entered the CSU's festival tent accompanied by rousing Bavarian defilee march tunes, alongside his Bavarian counterpart Markus Söder (CSU).
"We require a politics with conviction, we require a politics with weight," declared Rhein. Markus Söder's efforts in Bavaria are the opposite of what the traffic lights are doing in Berlin. He accused the Greens of aiming for a different nation. "It makes a significant impact who leads the nation."
Beforehand, Rhein had taken a stand against Söder in the crucial matter of the Union's chancellor candidate. "The CDU is incredibly powerful in Saxony, and in Thuringia, a productive policy without us is impossible," Rhein told the Funke media group. "That's a clear achievement of our chairman Friedrich Merz."
Boris Rhein, the CDU's Minister-President from Hesse, continued his critique of Berlin's coalition, stating, "We need a politics with conviction and weight to counteract the actions of the traffic lights in Berlin." During the political brunch, Rhein's Bavarian counterpart Markus Söder also expressed disagreement, highlighting the contrast between their approaches.
