Germany-based Rheinmetall will provide the Bundeswehr with an extra 1,515 military vehicles by November at a cost of 920 million euros. This is part of a wider agreement, signed in June 2020, for the supply of up to 4,000 trucks featuring a swap body system. These vehicles are essential for transporting cargo such as ammunition, fuel, and water. Deliveries are scheduled to take place in the latter half of 2024, running until mid-November 2024.

Some of these trucks will incorporate a protected version with a reinforced cab. According to Rheinmetall, this enhances "the survivability and durability, as well as the tactical flexibility, of logistical units and formations," making them more resilient in challenging environments.
