Music - Revolverheld: "Not up for German pop"

They have stormed the charts with pop songs like "Spinner" or "Halt dich an mir fest", now they are returning to their roots: the members of the band Revolverheld are harder and louder than ever on their flagship album "R/H/1". "We didn't set out to make German pop. It developed in that direction at some point. Now we're simply going back to the roots," singer Johannes Strate (43) told the German Press Agency.

Before their commercial success with the debut album "Revolverheld" in 2005, the Hamburg band played hard rock under the name "Tsunamikiller", among others. "Then you sign with a big record company and of course make certain compromises. That's fine and the last 20 years have been very successful." But now the musicians were in the mood for a "completely uncompromising record".

What makes it special: The twelve songs from "R/H/1" cannot be heard on any streaming platform or radio station; the album is only available as part of a club tour at the beginning of January - together with the concert ticket.
