Burgenland district - Restrictions at SRH Klinikum after system failure
Operations at the SRH Klinikum Burgenlandkreis have been restricted since Monday due to a failure of the information system. The two hospital sites in Naumburg and Zeitz as well as the medical care centers in Naumburg, Zeitz, Weißenfels, Bad Bibra and Bad Kösen are affected, as the hospital announced on Tuesday.
Patients can still be treated, but some non-urgent operations have had to be postponed. Patient treatments had to be documented on paper. Work is underway to repair the system. Restrictions are expected for a few days. MDR had previously reported.
"The safety and treatment of the patients entrusted to us is guaranteed. We are here for our patients," explained Angret Neubauer, Managing Director of the hospital. "However, we have to be a little more cautious about admitting new patients for the time being."
According to the information provided, the cause of the outage was planned system maintenance. A hacker attack had not taken place and there had been no data outflow.
