Respiratory problems in pupils: rescue mission at school
After four pupils developed respiratory problems, several ambulances, an emergency doctor and two emergency response teams were called to a comprehensive school in the southern part of Neubrandenburg on Wednesday. A rescue helicopter was also deployed, the police announced. The cause of the respiratory symptoms is still unclear. The police asked parents and other people associated with the school to remain calm and not to obstruct the rescue work on site.
In response to the unexplained respiratory issues, the school administration decided to temporarily halt all non-emergency activities to prioritize the safety of the students. Additionally, emergency measures were put in place for school staff and surrounding institutions to prevent any potential spread of the unknown cause.
