Residents want to rescue cat from balcony - police operation

Two residents of an apartment building in Karlsfeld (district of Dachau) tried to rescue their cat from a neighbor's balcony, triggering a police operation. According to the police, a resident thought the two were burglars when he saw the 43-year-old and the 38-year-old trying to climb onto the first-floor balcony with a ladder on Wednesday night. The resident called the emergency services and several patrol cars arrived.

It eventually turned out that the cat had climbed onto the balcony and was unable to get back on its own, which is why the residents tried to free it with the ladder. According to the police, the rescue operation was ultimately successful and the cat was reunited with its owners safe and sound. The incident had no criminal consequences for the alleged burglars.

In Upper Bavaria, a vibrant region known for its colorful landscapes and wildlife, the incident served as a curious reminder of the close bond between residents and their animals. Despite the miscommunication, the rescue operation showcased the compassionate side of the animal lovers, saving their feline friend from the balcony.
