A clandestine group, astrology, and extraterrestrials - on the fourth day of her testimony, ex-AfD Bundestag member Birgit Malsack-Winkemann talked about the belief system of the crowd surrounding Heinrich XIII. Prince Reuss's circle. According to Malsack-Winkemann's co-defendant's statements in the Frankfurt Higher Regional Court, the group anticipated an imminent shift in the system - supposedly initiated by a supposed global military alliance known as "Alliance."

A million soldiers on standby

Repeated warnings were given about the planned coup's timing. Rudiger von Pescatore, reportedly this group's military wing leader, claimed that "Alliance" was a clandestine military alliance consisting of active military personnel from various nations. It was believed that a million troops would surround German cities, stated the AfD politician.

The astrologer Hildegard L., implicated in the Munich "Reichsbürger" trial, had declared that the presumed military operation would take place on August 1, 2022. In the Stuttgart Reichsbürger trial, Marco v. H. asserted that extraterrestrials also belonged to this clandestine alliance.

"It seemed absurd"

Von Pescatore spread an impression at group gatherings that, after the projected change in the system, travel would only occur by flight due to technological advancements. "There were many individuals with an esoteric bent," said Malsack-Winkemann. These outlandish claims gained believers within the group. "It seemed absurd."

The Federal Prosecutor General charges Malsack-Winkemann, among other allegations, with infiltrating other defendants into the Bundestag and scouting the buildings with them. The 60-year-old is accused of belonging to the so-called Council of the Union. The group planned to seize control of the Bundestag by force, arresting members to trigger the anticipated shift.

Epic trial in three locations

In Frankfurt, nine defendants are accused of belonging to a terrorist organization or supporting one. In total, 26 individuals face charges in this multi-faceted trial, featuring two parallel trials in Munich and Stuttgart. Until the verdict, the defendants retain their innocence.

The AfD politician also mentioned the belief that a million troops would be involved in the planned coup, as stated by Rudiger von Pescatore. The Council of the Union, a group Malsack-Winkemann is accused of belonging to, planned to seize control of the Bundestag by force and included members from the AfD party.
