German League Football - Reports indicate that Zeidler will join Bochum as their new coach.
As per recent news, Peter Zeidler is likely to become the new head coach for VfL Bochum. It is said that the club has completed negotiations with the 61-year-old, who has decided in their favor, as reported by "Tief im Westen - Das VfL-Magazin" last night. Reports also claim that Zeidler is the preferred candidate for the position, as per information from "WAZ".
Zeidler has spent six years coaching FC St. Gallen and has had talks with various German clubs, including Bochum two years ago and Augsburg last year. Relegated Bundesliga team 1. FC Köln is also said to be interested in him. He had previously worked with Bochum's managing director Ilja Kaenzig at FC Sochaux. According to the "WAZ" report, Zeidler's contract in Switzerland lasts until 2027, but it could be possible to release him from it.
Earlier, the names of former Bundesliga coaches André Breitenreiter and Enrico Maaßen were also considered for the job.
