Bundesliga - Report: Striker Malen wants to leave BVB
According to Sky, winger Donyell Malen wants to leave Borussia Dortmund early. The Dutchman is planning his departure from the Bundesliga club, as Sky reported on Monday evening. According to the report, the runners-up would not veto a transfer of the 24-year-old during the winter break. However, a potential buyer would have to pay a transfer fee of at least 30 million euros. Malen still has a contract with the Black & Yellows until June 30, 2026.
Malen moved to Dortmund from PSV Eindhoven in the summer of 2021 for a reported EUR 30 million, but did not get going for a long time. He was also injured from time to time. He showed his potential last season and became a key player, scoring nine goals and providing seven assists in 26 Bundesliga appearances. However, according to Sky, he is said to be unhappy with the position in which coach Edin Terzic uses him.
