Report: Kruse's contract with SC Paderborn to be terminated

According to a media report, former national team player Max Kruse is about to leave second-division soccer club SC Paderborn. The club and the attacking player would terminate the 35-year-old's contract in the near future, the portal "Reviersport" reported on Tuesday evening. There was initially no confirmation from either the club or Kruse, who is said to have already said goodbye to his teammates.

The 14-time international has only played five games for the East Westphalians so far. Kruse was only signed by Paderborn in the summer after being released by VfL Wolfsburg a year ago. However, Kruse has been hampered by injuries and health problems this season.

In light of the reported contract termination, Max Kruse may soon depart from his current team, SC Paderborn, in Bundesliga 2. Regardless of the impending separation, Kruse has already bid farewell to his teammates during training sessions.
