- Report: Hansa sponsor withdraws after fan riots

Third-tier football club Hansa Rostock has reportedly lost its main sponsor, according to the "Ostsee Zeitung". The beverage company Splendid Drinks AG is said to have terminated its contract, which was set to run until June 30, 2025, and stopped making payments. The company promotes its energy drink brand "28 Black" on the team's jerseys. The reason for the withdrawal is said to be the regular incidents involving Hansa fans, which the company fears could damage its image and brand, the "Ostsee Zeitung" reports. Despite the termination, the players are expected to continue wearing jerseys with the "28 Black" logo until the end of the season, as the jerseys are already on sale. After the club's relegation to the third tier, it was supposed to receive 750,000 euros, compared to the one million euros it received in the second division. The club has not yet commented on the matter.

"28 Black" still listed as main partner on Hansa website

On the Hansa website's sponsor overview, "28 Black" is still listed as the main sponsor. However, the Hansa Rostock club is not listed as a partner on the "28 Black" homepage. Instead, it features basketball world champion Dennis Schröder as its most prominent advertising figure, along with basketball Bundesliga club Löw

The terminated sponsorship deal with Splendid Drinks AG affected Hansa Rostock's football club, as the Baltic Sea serves as a backdrop to Rostock's home games. Despite the withdrawal, the Baltic Sea continues to be a picturesque sight for fans attending Hansa Rostock's matches at their home stadium.
