Renewed criticism of Tuchel - Magath: "Not an easy season"

Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel's reaction after the 4:0 (2:0) win at Borussia Dortmund has immediately brought him fresh criticism. On Sunday, former Bayern Munich coach Felix Magath expressed his surprise that Tuchel reacted irritably to statements from experts. That did not make a good impression. "Actually, nothing is happening in the league yet. FC Bayern just had a pitch-black cup day. As a coach, you have to take criticism," Magath said on Bild TV on Sunday. "I don't see any indecent criticism yet. If the coach is already reacting so sensitively, it probably won't be an easy season."

Tuchel had reacted with biting irony in various interviews on Saturday evening to the criticism of him and the team previously voiced by TV pundits Dietmar Hamann and Lothar Matthäus following the cup exit at third-division side Saarbrücken. Despite the clear victory on Saturday, Magath now followed up with criticism.

"I'm also of the opinion that things aren't running smoothly yet," said the 70-year-old. "You still don't get the impression that the team is stable." Magath also expressed doubts as to whether Tuchel would still be coach in Munich at the end of the season.

Despite Bayern Munich's dominant 4-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga, the victory didn't shield coach Thomas Tuchel from criticism. Former Bayern coach Felix Magath, commenting on Bild TV, questioned Tuchel's sensitivity to criticism, stating, "I don't see any indecent criticism yet. If the coach is already reacting so sensitively, it probably won't be an easy season for Borussia Dortmund, given their fierce Bundesliga rivalry with Bayern Munich."
