According to the authorities' latest update, the subsequent findings from the investigation are anticipated to surface by the end of the week. The special investigation team Arian, responsible for the missing person case, has scrutinized and recorded the discovery location. The police suspect a connection to the six-year-old Arian from Elm near Bremervörde, who vanished in April, to be likely. No additional information was disclosed.

The location where the child's remains were uncovered is roughly 3 kilometers from Elm, a community district of Bremervörde, where Arian mysteriously disappeared on April 22. After his disappearance, searches were initiated both for the boy and the missing person in the area, the police said. The body was found about 300 meters off a road interconnecting settlements.

For about a week following the disappearance of the autistic boy, massive searches were conducted in the Elm vicinity. Over 1200 first responders from fire departments, police, Bundeswehr, and multiple aid organizations participated. Helicopters, drones, tracking dogs, divers, and sonar boats were also utilized.

In an effort to locate the six-year-old and coax him out of potential hideouts, unconventional methods were taken. At the parents' request, vibrant balloons and candies were scattered across wooded and open areas. During nights, helpers set off fireworks, played loud children's tunes, and projected powerful searchlights into the sky.

The community was encouraged to join the search, with residents inspecting potential hideouts on their properties and reviewing footage from surveillance cameras. The search was then put on hold at the end of April. However, a police investigation team continued to work on the case and executed targeted additional measures, such as a thorough examination of the Oste river, which flows through Elm, up to its mouth in the Elbe, in May.

No signs of crime were detected in the case, although the police did not categorically reject the possibility. Camera recordings indicated that Arian left his parents' home alone and ran towards a wooded area, according to the police. The main theory, therefore, postulates that the boy was moving on his own and may have managed to hide somewhere. The probability of an accident, such as a fall into the Oste, was also considered plausible.
