Persistent snowfall - Regional trains in Bavaria are delayed or canceled

Due to the continuing snowfall, train services in Bavaria have been severely disrupted. As Deutsche Bahn announced on Saturday, there have been delays and train cancellations in various regions of Bavaria since Friday evening.

Train services to and from Munich Central Station are expected to be suspended until 12.00 noon by order of the authorities.

In the Allgäu region, all train services are currently suspended. Train services between Buchloe and Augsburg main station can be operated.

In Lower Bavaria, there are considerable disruptions and train cancellations on the line between Freising and Passau and in the direction of Regensburg main station. Train services on the route from Munich Central Station to Landshut and Passau have been suspended for the time being. Regional trains are running between Regensburg and Landshut.

In Werdenfelser Land in the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, there will be considerable disruption from Tutzing onwards. Train services are only possible between Oberammergau and Murnau.

Train services on the Südostbayernbahn have been suspended by official order on all lines until probably Sunday, 2 p.m., according to Deutsche Bahn.

According to Bayerische Regiobahn, train services have been suspended on all five networks of the Bavarian Regional Railway (Chiemgau-Inntal, Berchtesgaden-Ruhpolding, Oberland, Ammersee-Altmühltal, Ostallgäu-Lechfeld).

Traffic on the Waldbahn network in the Bavarian Forest had to be completely suspended and the Oberpfalzbahn and the alex are also severely affected, according to the Länderbahn. The Oberpfalzbahn is currently only operating on the lines between Furth im Wald and Schwandorf and between Marktredwitz and Regensburg. However, travelers must also expect delays and partial cancellations here. The Oberpfalzbahn between Hof and Marktredwitz is not affected by the restrictions. The alex trains currently terminate in Landshut, Munich Central Station cannot be served.
