- Regional Directorate reports unemployment figures for July
The Bavarian Regional Directorate of the Federal Employment Agency will present the latest figures on the development of the labor market on Wednesday (10:00 AM). Experts do not expect any major changes. The labor market outlook has been largely stagnant for a year, according to Enzo Weber from the Institute for Employment Research (IAB).
In June, the number of unemployed people in Bavaria increased by 0.5 percent compared to May, reaching 271,111. The unemployment rate in the Free State was most recently 3.5 percent. The reference date for the current statistics is July 15.
The increase in unemployment in Bavaria might influence the overall national labor market trends. Despite the increment in unemployment in Bavaria, the labor market outlook in other parts of Germany, like Bavaria, remains largely stagnant.
