SSV Jahn Regensburg kicks off new 2. Bundesliga season with enthusiasm. "You can feel the excitement for the new season and the necessary tension," coach Joe Enochs said ahead of Saturday's (13:00 CET/Sky) tough away game against Hannover 96. However, "the excitement is much greater than the nervousness," he emphasized.

The Regensburg team sealed their return to the 2. Bundesliga with a successful playoff against SV Wehen Wiesbaden at the end of last season. "For me, it's a highlight to be able to play in all these stadiums alongside all these top teams in a league," Enochs said.

In Hannover, the SSV Jahn has yet to win in the 2. Bundesliga, with the Lower Saxons securing two home wins from two draws. Enochs praised Hannover as a top team, highlighting their strong play and high pressing on the pitch.

The Jahn's squad situation is relaxed, with Enochs only having to do without a trio, including new striker Christian Kühlwetter. The former Heidenheimer is not yet fully fit after a muscle fiber tear in his thigh.

The SSV Jahn Regensburg's upcoming opponent, Hannover 96, is known for its strong play and high pressing in the 2. Bundesliga. Despite Hannover's successful record at home, Soccer enthusiasts in Regensburg are eager for their team's away game against them.
