Contenders had gone head-to-head in the MDR around two weeks back. Upcoming voting sessions are scheduled for Thuringia and Saxony on a Sunday. According to surveys, the AfD is outpacing the CDU, BSW, and the Left Party. The SPD is languishing in the single-digit zone, while the Greens and FDP are grappling with the challenge of surpassing the five-percent barrier.
