- RB Leipzig with a clear defeat to end the US tour

RB Leipzig suffered a clear defeat in the final test match of their US tour against Wolverhampton Wanderers, losing 0:3 (0:1) in Miami on Saturday (local time). Lukas Klostermann (18') scored an own goal, Pablo Sarabia (62') and Rodrigo Gomes (73') found the net for the English side. After the match, RB began their journey home. Next Saturday (18:00 CET) they will face a final test before the start of the new season at home against Paris Saint-Germain.

Rose made changes to his starting lineup compared to the match against Aston Villa (3:0). Two of the young players who traveled with the team, Viggo Gebel and Lionel Voufack, started. The coach had to do without Kevin Kampl, who left early due to his son's first day of school, and the injured Assane Ouedraogo and El Chadaille Bitshiabu. Benjamin Henrichs, David Raum, Dani Olmo, Christoph Baumgartner, and Xaver Schlager, who were involved in the Euros or injured, did not travel to the US.

Rose comments on the defeat

"It was tough conditions today, a lot of rain. We faced a strong, unpleasant opponent. We certainly didn't have our best day. Even though it was a friendly, we don't like to lose," said Rose, who also cited travel fatigue as a reason for the defeat. "It was somewhat expected that after a week of many travels, we might not have as much energy left. That was noticeable in our pressing and our overall sharpness. We have to acknowledge that at the end of this US tour. Nevertheless, our ambitions are, of course, different."

Following the disappointing defeat, RB Leipzig will utilize their Training Camp to regroup and prepare for their final test match. Next week, they will face Paris Saint-Germain in their Training Camp, hoping to improve their performance.

Despite the late withdrawal of Kevin Kampl and the injuries to Assane Ouedraogo and El Chadaille Bitshiabu, the young players, Viggo Gebel and Lionel Voufack, received a chance to shine during the Training Camp.
