Soccer - RB Leipzig must face FC Midtjylland in the Youth League
RB Leipzig 's juniors will face FC Midtjylland from Denmark in the intermediate round of the Youth League. This was the result of the draw on Tuesday in Nyon, Switzerland. The team led by U17 World Cup winner Winners Osawe must win just one match, which will be played at the Danish club on February 6 or 7, 2024, to make it through to the round of 16.
" FC Midtjylland has stood for very good technical and tactical training for years," said Manuel Baum, head of youth development at the Saxon Bundesliga club.
With eleven points from six games, Leipzig's U19s finished second in Group G behind Manchester City. They thus qualified for the knockout round for the first time. New professional signing El Chadaille Bitshiabu even made his first appearance against Bern (0-0).
