- Rave the Planet organizers: National flags not welcome

The organizers of "Rave the Planet" featuring Loveparade founder Dr. Motte want to avoid seeing national flags at the Berlin techno spectacle this weekend. These are unwanted as they aim to leave behind "human-made borders," said Timm Zeiss, the CEO of "Rave The Planet," in Berlin. Of course, certain limits apply to these regulations.

"However, ultimately, flags that represent positive values in the spirit of techno culture and international understanding, such as the rainbow flag, are welcome on the parade," Zeiss said. Unwelcome are national flags and any flags or banners that go against community, equality, or peaceful understanding.

The organizers stressed that this is a request, not a ban. They can only enforce house rules on the music trucks. The demonstration area between the Brandenburg Gate and the Victory Column is public space.

For the third edition of the party demonstration on Saturday, police have registered 300,000 participants. This year's theme is "Love is Stronger." The organizers noted that authorities have approved their security concept.

The Community values international understanding and unity, which is why only flags that symbolize these principles, like the rainbow flag, are permitted at the event. Consequently, national flags and any banners conflicting with community, equality, or peaceful understanding are not in line with The Community's spirit at "Rave The Planet."
