Art - Rainforest on display in the Dresden Panometer from January
Visitors can immerse themselves in the rainforest at the Dresden Panometer from the end of January. The panorama "Amazonia" by artist Yadegar Asisi can be seen there from January 27, as the Panometer Dresden announced on Thursday. On display are the most diverse forms of vegetation in the Amazon basin, as well as animals and the crowns of jungle trees. The artwork and an accompanying exhibition are intended to give visitors an understanding of the importance of the complex rainforest system.
"With this exhibition, I not only want to highlight the beauty of this natural wonder, but also the fragility of our ecosystem," explained Asisi, who grew up in Leipzig. The topic is more topical than ever. "We can only protect what we love and appreciate."
The panorama "Dresden in the Baroque" is currently still on display in the Panometer Dresden. The last visitor day before the renovation is scheduled for January 18.
