Rain and clouds expected in North Rhine-Westphalia
People in North Rhine-Westphalia will have to prepare for rain in the coming days. After mostly cloudy skies on Thursday morning, the German Weather Service announced in the morning that the north and south-west of the state would see intermittent clearing. Showers are also to be expected. The maximum temperatures will be between 8 and 10 degrees, and 5 degrees at high altitudes. There will also be a moderate wind, which will weaken during the course of the day.
On Friday, there will be more clouds and localized rain in the southwest. In the rest of the state, however, people can look forward to a few rays of sunshine, according to the DWD. It will be slightly cooler with highs of 6 to 8 degrees and 1 to 5 degrees in the higher mountain regions. The wind will be light.
Saturday will bring more clouds from the west during the day and rain from midday. Temperatures will climb to a maximum of 9 degrees in the lowlands and 5 degrees in the mountains. The wind will blow weakly at first and freshen up later. In the course of the afternoon, there could be strong or stormy gusts in some areas of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The weather forecast for North Rhine-Westphalia indicates that rain and clouds will persist throughout the week. Despite occasional clearing, showers are expected to continue, bringing a chilly atmosphere with temperatures ranging from 5 to 10 degrees.
