A guy ended up with a wound during a scuffle on Eisenbahnstraße in Leipzig. According to authorities, the 31-year-old had a disagreement with a 24-year-old in the latter part of the day. Reports suggest that the younger person drew a knife, which the older individual supposedly attempted to ward off.

The specifics of the incident are still being looked into. Initially, there was uncertainty whether the 24-year-old had stabbed the 31-year-old with the knife. The suspected individual is familiar to the police and was released once more. As per the police, charges for causing bodily harm with intent have been lodged against him.

Eisenbahnstraße is a known crime area in Leipzig. In November 2018, the first and thus far only weapons-free zone in Saxony was established there.

The 31-year-old was taken to the hospital for his injuries, and the Police are investigating the role of the 24-year-old in the incident. Due to the previous interactions with the law, the police have stepped up their surveillance in the area.
