Crime - Raids in northern Swabia on suspicion of child pornography
Due to suspicions of child pornography, the police in Nordswabia conducted a total of 21 searches. Twenty-one men and one woman are suspected of possessing and distributing images of the sexual exploitation of minors, the police stated. There was no connection between the individual cases, it was noted.
The searches took place over three days between the end of June and the beginning of July. The investigators secured a total of 34 data carriers in the city and district of Augsburg and in the district of Aichach-Friedberg, including smartphones, PCs, laptops, and hard drives. The material is now being further evaluated. The Criminal Investigation Department is investigating the suspects, who are between the ages of 16 and 65, for distributing child pornography via social networks, messaging services, or clouds.
During the search of a 21-year-old man, officers also found an unsecured stun gun. The man must now also answer for violations of the Firearms Act in addition to the child pornography charges.
In the span of three days, between the end of June and the beginning of July, the police in Bavaria's Swabia region carried out raids in Augsburg and Aichach-Friedberg districts. The raids led to the seizure of 34 data carriers from various individuals, including men and a woman, suspected of sharing child pornography. One of the men, residing in Augsburg, was also found in possession of an unsecured stun gun, which could lead to further charges under the Firearms Act.
