Raid: searches in Dorsten and Iserlohn
Two properties in North Rhine-Westphalia were also searched during the raid against Reichsbürger on Thursday. According to a spokesperson for the NRW Ministry of the Interior, one apartment was searched in Dorsten (Recklinghausen district) and one in Iserlohn in the Sauerland region. The measures were directed against two people. The searches have now been completed and no one has been arrested.
The investigation is being conducted by the Munich Public Prosecutor General's Office. It concerns the suspicion of forming a criminal organization. On Thursday, around 280 officers searched properties in eight federal states across Germany in connection with investigations into Reichsbürger.
The investigation into the Reichsbürger group is also looking into potential ties between extremism and criminal activities. The discovered evidence during the raids in Dorsten and Iserlohn could further strengthen this suspicion.
