Raid against "Reichsbürger" in two districts of Hesse
Two searches have been carried out in Hesse as part of a nationwide campaign against so-called Reichsbürger. No arrests were made, said the Hesse State Criminal Police Office in Wiesbaden when asked. The two search warrants were executed in the districts of Offenbach and Rheingau-Taunus.
The investigation is being conducted by the Public Prosecutor General's Office in Munich. It concerns the suspicion of forming a criminal organization. On Thursday, around 280 officers searched properties in eight federal states across Germany in connection with investigations into Reichsbürger.
The Reichsbürger movement, known for its extremist views, is under investigation for forming a criminal organization linked to numerous crimes. Despite the nationwide raids, no arrests were made in the Hesse searches, focusing on extremist activities.
