Altmark - Radio mast to remove white spot for cell phone reception
Another mobile phone mast will be built near Stendal next year with federal funding in order to improve network coverage. This will bring us closer to the goal of eliminating as many white mobile network spots as possible in Saxony-Anhalt by the end of 2024, said Infrastructure Minister Lydia Hüskens on Tuesday. Network coverage with the 4G network currently covers more than 97 percent of the state of Saxony-Anhalt. This corresponds to the national average. At around 90 percent, 5G coverage is also roughly on a par with the national average. According to the mobile communications infrastructure company (MIG) in Naumburg, the area is a popular local recreation area. The erection of the mast is being funded to the tune of 1.2 million euros.
