Media - Raab: Would no longer write a letter to SWR
According to Rhineland-Palatinate State Secretary Heike Raab, her critical letter to SWR was not intended to put pressure on the broadcaster. That was not her intention at any time, said the SPD politician at a special session of the state parliament in Mainz on Wednesday. "I was more concerned with an assessment of SWR in terms of press law," said Raab. She had neither demanded the deletion nor a correction of the article criticized in the letter.
Raab continued: "From today's perspective and in view of the discussion of recent weeks, I self-critically admit that I would no longer write this letter from May 2." She should have better addressed her comments on the SWR report from April 11 of this year in the responsible broadcasting committees.
