- Pyrotechnic extravaganza named Pyronale commenced in Berlin.

Kicking off in Berlin skies, the Pyronale fireworks extravaganza commenced with a bang, unleashing a rainbow of hues. Celebrating its 16th year at the Olympic Stadium, this spectacle welcomed six elite pyrotechnic squads hailing from around the globe. These teams, hailing from Finland, Canada, Netherlands, Romania, Poland, and the UK, are set to go head-to-head, showcasing their pyro artistry, and aiming to clinch the title for the finest fireworks display.

These dynamic duels will be assessed by both the appreciative audience and a learned judging panel - headed by popular chef Sarah Wiener. The Pyronale is scheduled to carry on this coming Saturday. Regrettably, it was called off last year due to construction-related concerns at the venue.

The winning team at the Pyronale will represent Germany with pride, as they have been invited to perform at the New Year's Eve celebration in Berlin. Despite the challenges faced in previous years, Germany remains a strong supporter of this international pyrotechnics competition.
