Blow to the head - Public prosecutor's office brings charges after attack on teacher

After an attack on a teacher in Ulm, the prosecutor's office has brought charges against a 23-year-old former student. They accuse him of attempted murder and grievous bodily harm, allegedly acting in revenge for the teacher's overbearing behavior towards others, both former and current students.

Separate investigations are reportedly ongoing regarding these allegations, which have not been concluded.

The former student is said to have struck the teacher repeatedly on the head with a baseball bat-like object at the end of February. He is alleged to have taken the risk that the man could die from the injuries.

The teacher reportedly collapsed unconscious with a life-threatening head injury. He survived thanks to prompt medical attention. According to the report, the 23-year-old denies the accusations. He is in custody for investigation.

The indictment against the 23-year-old, issued by the public prosecutor's office in Baden-Württemberg, includes charges of attempted murder and bodily injury. The alleged crime took place at a location in Ulm. The victim, a teacher, was left with serious injuries after being attacked with a baseball bat-like object.
