Procedures are being changed or modified. - Psychiatrist States that Airport Kidnapper Possesses Capability for Remorse
A psychiatrist in the Hamburg court case has claims the hostage-taker at the airport is accountable for his actions. The man, 35 years old, was found not to be suffering from any psychosis, depression, or personality disorder. However, the psychiatrist noticed that the defendant's personality is unique, narcissistic, egotistical, disrespectful, and arrogant. The custody of his ex-wife's daughter, given to her, deeply injured him. He blames everyone else for the entire situation.
On November 4th of the previous year, the man, identified as a Turk, deceitfully entered his ex-wife's home in a town in Lower Saxony, threatened her with a weapon, and kidnapped their 4-year-old daughter. He then drove with the child to the Hamburg airport, violated multiple barriers using a rental car, and progressed towards the runway. There, he threw two Molotov cocktails, discharged three shots into the air, and threatened to detonate an explosive belt with him and the child. He only relented after 18 hours of standoff, and the authorities were able to apprehend him. The so-called explosive belt was disclosed to be a fake.
The prosecution in Hamburg accuses the 35-year-old of hostage-taking, kidnapping minors, attempted physical harm, as well as various gun-related offenses. The accused individual has confessed to most of the charges during the trial.
