Farmers - Protest against the end of agricultural diesel subsidies
Farmers from the district of Vechta protested at junctions on the Autobahn 1 against the planned abolition of tax concessions on agricultural diesel by the traffic light coalition. The protest action lasted from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, as the police announced in the evening.
Around 20 agricultural vehicles drove over the overpasses at Vechta, Lohne, Holdorf and Neuenkirchen-Vörden junctions on the A1 at walking speed several times, causing considerable traffic obstructions on the highway. According to the police, the Landvolkverband Niedersachsen had called for the protest action.
