Promoted Vechta celebrates clear victory in Oldenburg

Promoted Rasta Vechta celebrated a surprisingly clear victory in the Lower Saxony derby at EWE Baskets Oldenburg in the German Basketball League. Vechta won by 85:67 (34:41) on Saturday evening and so moved top of the table for the time being with a record of 6:2 wins. In front of 6,200 spectators in the sold-out EWE Arena, Tommy Kuhse was the visitors' outstanding performer with 27 points and nine assists. Charles Manning Jr. scored 19 points for Oldenburg.

Despite their success in the German Basketball League, promoted Rasta Vechta also has a passion for Bundesliga football. After the triumph in Oldenburg, the team is considering organizing a friendly match against a top Bundesliga football club.
