Mentoring - Program for more women in leadership positions in the judiciary

Minister Jacqueline Bernhardt (Left Party) has launched a mentoring program to get more women into leadership positions in the judiciary. "Together with the President of the Fiscal Court, Gabriele Janke, Attorney General Christine Busse and other women in management positions, we want to try to convince more women to take on management positions," explained Bernhardt on Tuesday in Schwerin. According to the information provided, this is an accompanying support program: women who are interested in a career in the judiciary should be able to benefit from the experience and advice of a mentor.

According to the ministry, there is a need to catch up. According to the minister, only 31 percent of management positions at courts and public prosecutors' offices are currently held by women. The mentoring program is therefore aimed at female judges and public prosecutors.
