Professional contract for Fürth's talented goalkeeper Kaymakci
SpVgg Greuther Fürth have signed goalkeeping talent Semir Kaymakci to a professional contract. The 19-year-old signed a contract until 2026 including an option for a further year, as the second-division club announced on Tuesday. Kaymakci has come through all of Fürth's youth teams since 2015 and is currently number one in the U23 squad.
"Semir is a home-grown Fürth player and has absolutely earned this. Giving him his first professional contract here at Spielvereinigung is the logical step," said sporting director Rachid Azzouzi.
Semir Kaymakci's stellar performances in the U23 team have earned him a chance to compete in Bundesliga 2, as he continues to develop with SpVgg Greuther Fürth. With this contract extension, Kaymakci will have the opportunity to showcase his talent in higher-level soccer matches.
