Process for drug mafia crimes: Up to nearly nineteen-and-a-half years imprisonment in Hamburg

Convicted was the suspect therefore mainly for violations of weapons laws. However, it was primarily about the trade of Cocaine and Marijuana in larger quantities, as well as the attempted armed kidnapping of an alleged business partner. Two accomplices were sentenced to prison terms of two and a half years and three years and ten months respectively for drug dealing and involvement in the kidnapping.

The background of the criminal proceedings were events from the previous year. The suspect, who was allegedly part of an internationally active drug trafficking gang, sold Cocaine and Marijuana in the two-digit kilogram range in the Hamburg area, as did the two other suspects. In November, they were supposed to kidnap and intimidate a business partner on behalf of their organization in Hamburg.

The masked and armed suspects therefore staked out their victim before a Sportsbar. However, the men noticed this and fled, the kidnapping failed. The three suspects, who were between 23 and 33 years old at the time of the trial beginning in April, were arrested a short time later. During a search of the main suspect's apartment, investigators found an additional nine machine pistols.

  6. Until their arrests, the drug mafia members engaged in numerous drug dealing activities, continuing to make threats and intimidate their competition in the illegal drug market.
  7. During the trial, the two accomplices were held accountable for their roles in the drug dealing operations and the attempted kidnapping, the latter of which they were each sentenced to serve time for.
