Middle East conflict - Pro-Palestinian protest action at Berlin Central Station

Several hundred people gathered at Berlin Central Station on Tuesday for a pro-Palestinian protest. Palestinian flags were waved and banners held up during the so-called flash mob in the afternoon, as a spokesperson for the Berlin police said on request. The approximately one-hour action in the station building with around 300 participants remained peaceful. No incidents were reported.

As the Tagesspiegel reported, the participants shouted slogans such as "Deutschland, shame on you" (Germany, shame on you) and "ceasefire now". The flash mob had already been mobilized days earlier on Instagram. The post by the left-wing organization "Global South United" called for a "mass sit-in" at the main train station and asked people to bring Palestinian scarves, but to keep them hidden for the time being.
