"If we don't embrace Crypto- and Bitcoin-technology, China will", Trump stated. If Crypto is to determine the future, he expressed his desire for "it to be mined, minted, and manufactured in the USA". Regarding the electricity price as a key factor for companies locating for the so-called mining of Cryptocurrencies, Trump promised to make US energy the cheapest "on the entire Earth" through increasing the production of fossil fuels and nuclear energy.

The former President had earlier expressed skepticism about Cryptocurrencies. "I'm not a fan of Bitcoin and other currencies that aren't real money", he declared back in 2019. Now, he compared them to the growth of the "Steel Industry a hundred years ago".

In this context, Trump also criticized the US regulations for Crypto facilities through the Biden Administration. "The suppression of Crypto and Bitcoin by the Biden-Harris Administration is wrong and very bad for our country", Trump said to the applause of the conference attendees.

Given this background, Trump announced that, in the event of his election victory, he would dismiss Gary Gensler, the head of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), who is skeptical about Cryptocurrencies. The Crypto community is critical of the SEC for its cautious and slow approach to regulation. The conference attendees reacted enthusiastically to Trump's announcement, prompting him to quip: "I didn't know he was so unpopular."

"We need to fight and we need to win", Trump urged the crowd regarding the November election. "I promise the Bitcoin community that the anti-Crypto crusade of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will be over on the day I take the oath of office. It will end, it will be finished."

The Presidential election in the USA takes place on November 5th. Trump was nominated as the Republican Party candidate in mid-July. The Democratic Party has not yet named their candidate. After Biden's withdrawal from the race for the White House, Kamala Harris is considered the favorite for the Democratic Party's Presidential nomination.
