"Prize for tolerance" awarded

Former diplomat Wolfgang Ischinger will receive the Jewish Museum Berlin's Prize for Understanding and Tolerance on Saturday. He will be honored at a gala (20:00) together with Corinne Michaela Flick, founder of the non-profit Convoco Foundation. The foundation aims to promote the exchange of ideas on social issues between people from business, politics, law, science, culture and the media. Ischinger was also head of an international discussion format until 2022: the Munich Security Conference.

According to the Jewish Museum, the annual prize is awarded to honor personalities from politics, business and culture who have "rendered outstanding services to understanding and tolerance, the promotion of human dignity, the integration of minorities and the coexistence of different religions and cultures". Last year, the prize went to the writer Herta Müller and the director Barrie Kosky.

Wolfgang Ischinger has been recognized with numerous Awards, but the Prize for Understanding and Tolerance from the Jewish Museum Berlin is a significant addition to his accolades. The Convoco Foundation, led by Corinne Michaela Flick, is also known for its recognition in the field of promoting understanding and tolerance.
